Whether you intend bringing your own bike or hiring ours, please read the following information carefully. Please refer to the detailed packing list essentials and suggestions under Whats Included. If you don’t fancy bringing your own bike, we can provide 18” frame Kona Hoss' or Kona Caldera’ bikes, which are excellent all day trail bikes, equally at home eating up the rocks as they are climbing up through the tea trails. The bikes have superb handling with Marzzochi forks up front and Hayes Disc brakes for reassuring stopping power.

Bike rental for the entire trip is £100. See below for additional equipment you will be required to supply.

BRINGING YOUR OWN BIKE

Many people prefer to bring their own mountain bikes when travelling abroad. Most airlines now accept bikes as checked baggage whether boxed up or taken on ‘as is’ with the air released out of the shocks and tires. Contact the airline in advance to check what their policy is.
Spare parts for mountain bikes are difficult to obtain in India so all bikes must be in tip top condition. Service your bike thoroughly, replacing anything that appears worn or unlikely to last. Pay special attention paid to chain rings, cassettes, chains, forks etc.

You MUST BRING the following essential spares for your bike:

• Spare mech hanger
• Spare spokes of all sizes for your wheels
• Brake pads

We have reasonable stocks of spare rear mechs, tyres, tubes, cables, helmets, gloves etc

PACKING LIST ESSENTIALS

Whether hiring a bike or bringing your own,

• Helmet
• Camel back hydration pack or similar
• SPD Shoes/Pedals unless your are happy with our flats
• Riding Gear cycle tops, cycling shorts etc
• Gloves
• Light waterproof jacket
